On Tuesday, October 6, 2009, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued charges on Christopher Elders, 30 years of age, of the 5600 block of Maxwell in Affton, for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree. Elders is currently in custody on a $50,000 cash only bond. A photo of Elders is attached and can be viewed online. On Monday, October 5, 2009, Elders allegedly went to the residence of a fourteen year old girl and committed the offense. Elders had met the girl weeks prior at a sporting event and exchanged phone numbers with the victim after convincing her that he was 17 years old. Elders went to the girl's home when she was alone but was caught by a parent. Elder confessed to lying about his age to the victim and the parent. The St. Louis County Police Department has reason to believe that Elders has lied about his age before and ask that anyone with information about other offenses involving Elders should contact them at 889-2341.
