Cross-County MetroLink Expansion

The first phase of the Cross-County MetroLink expansion, which will bring light rail service to the central portion of St. Louis County, is underway. This eight-mile extension will expand MetroLink west from the Forest Park Station to Clayton and south to Shrewsbury. Completion is scheduled for mid-2005. The New I-64

Design work for a major reconstruction of I-64 (Highway 40) is now in progress. Over eleven miles of I-64 will be completely rebuilt from Tower Grove Avenue in the City of St. Louis to Spoede Road in Frontenac. The I-64 project will include all new bridges, interchanges, lighting, pavement and landscaping for this important highway in the heart of St. Louis County.
