World War II saw 16,000,000 Americans enter the armed forces to preserve our freedom. World War II Weekend is held to commemorate those who fought and died to preserve that freedom. Let us not forget what they, and all of our veterans, have done for us in our times of national strife.

Founded in 1826, Jefferson Barracks served our country as a military post until 1946. Today, Jefferson Barracks County Park offers many recreational and educational opportunities for St. Louis County residents. From our 2½-mile exercise trail to our history museums, there are opportunities that the entire family can enjoy. Our museum is open Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on weekends from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Please call 314-544-5714 for information about programs and upcoming events.
