Saint Louis County Collector of Revenue John Friganza would like to remind Saint Louis County property owners that real property and personal property taxes are due by December 31, 2009. Payments must be received by midnight of December 31 or will be considered delinquent and subject to late charges. If mailed, payments must be postmarked by the United States Postal Service no later than December 31, 2009. Late payments are subject to 2% interest per month, or any portion thereof, with a maximum of 18% per year, plus a 2% penalty. The last day to pay tax bills in person is Thursday, December 31, 2009. Revenue offices at the County’s three satellite locations are open from 8:00am until 4:30pm; the Clayton office opens at 7:00am and closes at 5:00pm. On Thursday, December 24, 2009, the Revenue offices at the satellite locations will close early at 2:00pm, and the Clayton office will close at 5:00pm. Tax payers need to be aware that only the Clayton office and the North County satellite office accept cash payments in addition to checks and money orders. Payments at the South and West County satellite offices must be made by check or money order only. Self-addressed courtesy reply envelopes are included for mailing payments. Real property and personal property tax payments may be included on one check and mailed in one envelope. If the self-addressed envelope is not used, taxpayers may find the mailing address on the back of the tax bill. Payments may be made at the Collector of Revenue’s Office on the Street Level of the Lawrence K. Roos County Government Building, 41 South Central Avenue, Clayton, MO 63105. Normal, non-holiday office hours are from 7:00am to 5:30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and from 7:00am to 6:00pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Real and personal property taxes may be paid online at https://revenue.stlouisco.com/Collection/PayTaxes. Property owners have the option of paying by direct debit of a checking or savings account, or by credit card. A convenience fee may apply. | ||||
