Tree Pollen Levels - General Information


The following Aeroallergen Network calculations are based on the data reported by all counting stations for trees, grass, weeds, and molds. The National Allergy Bureau (NAB) Report calculates by:

  • Median or 50th percentile (half of counts are below this point)
  • 75th percentile (75% of counts are below this point)
  • 99th percentile (99% of counts are below this point)

Tree Pollen Levels

Grains per Cubic Meter Level
0-15 Low
15-90 Moderate
90-1500 High
1500 or more Very High

What This Means to Tree Pollen Allergy Sufferers

Level Those Who Will Likely Suffer Symptoms
Absent No symptoms
Low Only individuals extremely sensitive to tree pollens
Moderate Many individuals sensitive to tree pollens
High Most individuals with any sensitivity to tree pollens
Very High Almost all individuals with any sensitivity to tree pollens. Extremely sensitive people could have severe symptoms.
