St. Louis County Park Earthen Treadway Trails

Trails

Some of the most scenic and rugged terrain can only be discovered by stepping out on to one of the many earthen trails found throughout the park system. These trails are generally narrow and some could be rocky and or steep. Most of these trails are found in the hill country of West County but don’t overlook Champ Park in North County or Bee Tree Park and the Tall Timbers Trail found at Lower Meramec Park in South County. If you are looking for an all-day hike and want to get away from it all then head west to Greensfelder or West Tyson Parks. These two parks combined have over 35 miles of trail just waiting for you to explore. Hiking, mountain biking and equestrians share the 35 miles of trail found at these two parks. Rugged hills, rock outcroppings, glades, savanna, prairies, and woods are all part of the natural world just waiting for you to discover.
