Trail Watch

BE A GOOD WILL AMBASSADOR ON OUR TRAILS…

Trail Watch Volunteers assist the Park Rangers in keeping our 80 miles of trails safe and enjoyable for all. Volunteers, ages 16 and older, will be trained in trail etiquette and reporting procedures. They will not be asked to intervene in potentially dangerous situations, only report them.

Trail Watch Training (Ages 16+ ) It's like "Neighborhood Watch" on the Trails! Trail Watch is a volunteer program in which hikers, cyclists, skaters and equestrians assist Park Rangers in monitoring the many trails in our County Parks. Volunteers, identified by a brightly colored vest and ID badge, serve as "extra eyes and ears" on the trails. Trail Watch Volunteers report safety hazards, lost persons or suspicious activity. Trail Watch Volunteers must be 16 years of age and attend a 2-hour training class. For information, contact Sue Bell at 314-615-8865 or e-mail SBell@stlouisco.com.
