On Friday, June 6, 2014, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued charges on Johnny White IV., 22 years of age, of the 6300 block of Evanston, St. Louis, MO 63133, for one count of Assault in the First Degree, and one count of Armed Criminal Action. White is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond. A photo of White is attached.

Charges were issued after officers from the Wellston Police Department responded to a shooting near the intersection of Rockbrook Avenue and Wellston Place on June 4, 2014. When officers arrived on scene, a 34 year old male victim advised them that he had been shot multiple times by White. White fled the scene prior to police arriving. The victim was transported to a local hospital. The Wellston Police Department requested the St. Louis County Police Department to take command of the investigation.
