Chief Jon Belmar Announces Promotion to Captain

On Wednesday, April 23, 2014, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar announced the promotion of Lieutenant Timothy Tanner to the rank of Captain.

Captain Timothy Tanner is a 23 year police veteran currently assigned to the City of Wildwood Precinct. He has also served in the South County and Affton-Southwest Precincts, and Tactical Operations Unit. Prior to becoming a police officer, Captain Tanner served four years in the United States Marine Corps on active duty status, and another six years as a reserve in the Air National Guard. Captain Tanner has received 68 awards, commendations, and letters of appreciation.
