Two High Ridge Men Charged With Second Degree Robbery

On Wednesday, May 30, 2012, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued warrants on both John D. Morris, 49 years of age, of the 2800 block of Maplewood Court, High Ridge, MO 63049 and Kenneth Bentrup, 48 years of age, also of the 2800 block of Maplewood Court, each for one count of Robbery in the Second Degree. The bond amount for each is $35,000.00.

Both Morris and Bentrup were attempting to rob the Lindell Bank, located at 3921 Hampton, in the City of St. Louis, and were arrested as a result.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department notified Detectives from St. Louis County Police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons of the arrest. Subsequently, St. Louis County Police Detectives interviewed both Morris and Bentrup reference their involvement in the robbery of the Regions Bank, located at 999 Bowles, in Unincorporated St. Louis County. Both Morris and Bentrup admitted to their involvement in this robbery.
