Man Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter in the First Degree

On Thursday, August 23, 2012, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued warrants on Anthony W. Smalley, 31 years of age, of the 200 block of Pardella, St. Louis, Missouri, 63125, for one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree. A $100,000 bond has been issued. A photo of Smalley is attached and can be viewed online.

On Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 6:30 AM, St. Louis County Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Wachtel Avenue for a call of a person down. Police found the deceased female victim, Charly Smalley, DOB 4/8/1986, lying in the street. The St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office report stated that the cause of death was a heroin overdose. An investigation conducted by St. Louis County Detectives from the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons revealed that her husband, Anthony Smalley, was responsible for administering heroin to her prior to her death.
