Police Officer Receives Award

On August 13th, Officer John Wolf was honored with a resolution by the City of Maplewood commending him for saving the life of a woman during a house fire on March 5, 2013.   Officer Wolf and another neighbor, Stephen Morefield, entered a burning and smoke filled home and carried the incapacitated and disoriented resident to safety.  The resolution states, in part, that “this courageous act in avoiding what could have been a tragic loss to family, friends and the community was an act of tremendous heroism and bravery which deserves special recognition by the governing body of this city.”   Congratulations, Officer Wolf! Neighborhood Watch Meeting

The next Neighborhood Watch meeting is scheduled for Tuesday the 24th of September at 7 p.m. The location will be the West County Precinct (232 Vance Road, Valley Park). The guest speaker will be School Resource Officer Jim Grotha. Captain Boschert will be there to say a few words and answer questions. We will be discussing recent crime trends and what's going on in the neighborhoods. Refreshments will be served. Hope to see everyone there.

Distinguished Service Citation

Congratulations to PO David Steinmeyer for his Distinguished Service Citation. The Citation recognized PO Steinmeyer's heroic actions on Tuesday, January 29th wherein he was able to arrest a man who fired upon him and attempted to take his life. Read More...
