Captain Kenneth Williams was born in Fayette, Missouri and raised in North St. Louis County. He currently resides in the City of Ballwin with his wife Sandra. He has two grown children.
Captain Williams is assigned to the City of Wildwood Precinct and serves as the Precinct Commander. In this position, he is responsible for the management of the police service provided to the City of Wildwood, which contracts police service through the St. Louis County Police Department.
After graduation from the Greater St. Louis Police Academy in 1982, Captain Williams was assigned to the Second Precinct, which at the time included areas of West County, Maryland Heights and West Overland. In 1986 he was assigned to the Tactical Operations Unit and served in this unit as a tactical officer and team leader until his promotion to the rank of Sergeant in 1994. As a Sergeant he served as a supervisor in the Affton Southwest Precinct, as a contract supervisor with the University of Missouri-St. Louis Police Department, as a supervisor in the Tactical Operations Unit, and as the supervisor of basic recruit training at the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy.
Following his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant in 2001, he has served in the North County Precinct and the City of Wildwood Precinct. In addition he has been the chairman of the Department's Neighborhood Policing committee and has been a member and supervisor of the St. Louis County Mobile Response Team. Captain Williams was assigned as the Commander of the Bureau of Professional Standards in August of 2005 as a Lieutenant. He was promoted to Captain in December of 2009.
Captain Williams received his Criminal Justice education from St. Louis Community College and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico Virginia. He has attended numerous training classes in police specialized tactics and weapons, instructor development, leadership and law enforcement management. Captain Williams has received numerous letters of appreciation and Awards of Excellence.
