Instructor Grant Crawley Takes the Plunge

The current recruit classes of the CMPA participated in the 2010 Missouri Special Olympics Polar Plunge on February 27th. The 4th annual of these fundraising events was held at Creve Couer Lake in Maryland Heights. Classes raised $150 to sponsor Maryland Heights Officer Grant Crawley, who was one of 277 plungers who braved the frigid waters of the lake to raise over $27,000 for Special Olympics Athletes. On December 6, 2008, the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy was granted Accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Public Safety Training Academies.
