Overview 

Environmental health is one of the first concerns of any civilization - and a cornerstone of public health. It is a foundation upon which the health and wealth of Saint Louis County depend. Here's a glimpse of the ongoing thought and work that goes into keeping our environmental services among the best in the land.


We take a lot for granted. That the air we breathe will not make us sick. That the food from the store or restaurant will not hurt our family. That the water we drink is not contaminated. The Department of Health's Environmental Health Services help protect the air you breathe, the food you eat, the water you drink... and more. They make our County a healthier place to live, work, play and do business.
